My Freshwater Gouramis

I have two Blue Gouramis a male and female, 1 Pink Kissing fish and 2 Dwarf Neon's. I had to move the Dwarf Neon's due to to much aggression from the Pink Kissing fish which is male. I am told that it is difficult to buy a matched pair of Pink kissing fish in the US because they don't ship the females from Asia. So most of the fish you buy in the pet store are all male. I used to have two Pink Kissing fish and unfortunately found one, clearly the loser of a mortal battle. Whom the victor was is a secret my male Blue Gourami and the other male Pink Kissing fish will take to the their fishy after lives. Again I was told by a LFS that the behavior is generally that of the Blue Gourami.

All together they make a very pretty tank. I moved the Dwarf Neon's to a Tiger Barb tank that has a wounded female Beta and they are doing very well and the tank gets along with no aggression issues.

Science bit:  These fish are "Labyrinth" or mouth breathing fish.  What this means is that they can surface to obtain oxygen instead of thru their body thus allowing them to withstand harsher water quality situations.  These fish are directly related to "Beta or Siamese Fighting fish".   Labyrinth refers to the way their respiratory system is laid out.
